Rebranding your business to better align with who you are: website example
If you’ve been thinking about rebranding your business so that it better aligns with who you are now, then my friend, you are in the right place!
I’ll be chatting to you about the purpose behind why you should rebrand, what the benefits are, how to redesign an existing website / business and I’m going to give you an example of a client's website that I rebranded earlier this year.
Let’s begin shall we?!...
What is the Purpose of Rebranding Your Business?
I’ve come up with a few reasons, 7 to be exact for why you may want to rebrand your business.
Your website… ...is outdated
...isn’t mobile-friendly
...is slow and unresponsive
...lacks important features and functionality
...is hard to navigate
...doesn’t attract your Target audience
...no longer represents you and/or your brand/business
These are all solid reasons and that last one is the exact reason why I rebranded my website at the start of this year and also why my recent client, Theresa did too.
Later on I’ll be chatting more about Theresa’s story with some before and after designs of her website.
In a nutshell, the purpose of rebranding your business is so that you attract your dream clients, make it easy for them to book you and look more professional so you can confidently pitch yourself as an expert.
What are the Benefits of Rebranding Your Business?
When you’re first starting in business, especially as a service based entrepreneur, you’re learning everything as you go. You’re evolving as the days/months/years go on and rebranding your business usually comes around every few years.
A rebrand may just be a simple refresh; new photos, cleaner graphics or it could be a major overhaul; new colours, new fonts, new design aestehtic.
What ALWAYS comes once you’ve done a rebrand is a renewed sense of energy, a newness, an excitement for what’s next.
Energy is something that is really important to me and I hope you too. When you’re around someone who has great energy, you want to be around them all the time, it makes you feel the same high.
When you successfully rebrand, your energy leaks out into your clients, they can feel you vibrating on a different level. You’re more confident taking discovery calls and delivering your services. You know your brand is kickass and represents the expert you truly are. You show up differently. You attract more money.
When rebranding your business you can target a new audience who are more aligned with where you are now, not when you first did your website all those years ago. It means a better representation of who you are now, who your business serves and making it a lot easier for your audience to interact with - if done well.
How to Redesign an Existing Website
So you’ve decided you do indeed need and want to do a website redesign. Awesome. I am 100% all about this! I’m going to give you some real practical tips on how to do this.
Website Design Prep
To redesign your website and brand you need to get a big piece of paper and note down everything you want your website to do.
How do you want it to look and feel?
What your offers are and how you’d like them to be seen on your site. Will all of your offers be on the same page, will there be a drop down folder on your navigation bar with the different offers or will the offers be clickable from a main ‘work with me’ page?
What pages will be on your website
What are your opt-ins and where will you put your newsletter sign up forms? Don’t know what an opt-in is, click my blog post here :)
What colours would you like your rebrand to include, will they be the same as before, will you alter them slightly or will you change them completely? Check out my post here all about choosing your brand colours.
Are the fonts going to be the same?
Will you get a new photoshoot that goes with your new branding and brand colours?
Are you going to change website builder platforms. Wordpress to Squarespace etc. I’m a website designer and will always recommend Squarespace as my website builder of choice. Read exactly why.

Example of a Website Rebrand and Redesign
Meet Theresa Adrienne. An intuitive practitioner, energy worker and healer, a business psychologist, voice coach and writer.
Theresa came to me at the beginning of 2021 because the COVID-19 pandemic drastically changed her business model. It also drastically changed her as a person, she no longer connected with her own brand and that’s ok.
She wanted her website to come back into alignment with where she was now and reflect the new ‘her’. She did this by stepping into her power and using a more spiritual side within her work to help her clients - something she’d felt very vulnerable to do in the past. Here’s a snapshot of what I created for her rebrand...
